CTE is broken into 16 Career Clusters in the National Career Clusters Framework, representing 79 Career Pathways to help learners navigate their way to greater success in college and career.

As you evaluate your options, it is important to understand how the program you have interest in aligns with career opportunities, learning more about the career services provided to students as well as what graduates do with their degrees or certificates, and understand the effectiveness of any given program and organization.
Research the career services provided at the organization selected
Career services departments give students opportunities to explore career options, understand workplace expectations, hone soft skills like leadership and communication, and the value-add of their degree.
Find someone who graduated with the same degree/cert
Alumni are graduates of a particular organization. An alumni network is available at many of them and is designed to help current students network, learn from previous graduates, and to help students understand what careers/companies they can pursue upon graduation.
