We’ve made several exciting updates to enhance your experience, from improving job details and resume processing to adding new features and fixing issues across various sections. Check out the highlights below!

Skills for America’s Future Specific

• Enhanced the Job Detail page to display more job properties based on source XML files.
• Eliminated duplicate job postings on the “Explore Jobs” page.
• Updated onboarding questions and modals for a smoother experience.

Career Highways UI

Resume Processing Support:

• The “Edit Skills” modal will now appear at the end of the resume upload process, and the system will attempt to extract skills from the resume.
• Industry will now be extracted for work experience items.

My Profile: 

• Resolved the problem that prevented saving Industry/Vertical and Knowledge, Language & Abilities skill types. This is not resolved
• Resolved the issue where it was sometimes not possible to add academic experience other than K12.
• Introduced an AI Suggestions feature when editing the About Me section.
• Visual and feature improvements:

• My Career Highways page.
• Modal dialogs across the app.
• Made multiple visual and feature fixes for talent cards on the Our Talent page.
• Certification data is now visible in the Step-by-Step Career Guidance modal in My Career Highways.
• The OTP entry field will now be shown in the new side panel when creating an account from the “Create an Account” panel on the landing page.
• Corrected the issue where pagination links appeared in the “Add the Next Step to Your Career Route” modal, even when the total page count was 0 or 1.
• Career Guide: The links in the sidebar will now point to the correct pages.

General

• Updated the Skills Master List with new skills, revised taxonomy, and updated descriptions for existing skills.
• Added back-end and database support for new profile properties: Volunteering & Achievements, Clubs & Organizations, and References.

• The chatbot icon has been removed from all pages for a cleaner look.
• Meet Scout, our new and improved chatbot! Scout now provides detailed explanations and links to relevant resources for most prompts.
• The Career Guide Interface now includes basic support for parsing your resume.
• You can now receive One-Time Passwords (OTP) via SMS for added convenience.
• Our sign-up form has been moved to a new right-hand side panel for easier access.

We announce today new Career Highways features, developed with you in mind:

• Onboarding Survey: New users and existing users will now be prompted to take a 3-step onboarding survey after logging in and will be directed to more personalized pages based on your responses.
• Our Featured Employers’ and Talent Providers’ Jobs and Programs will now be marked as Featured throughout the site, including in Explore and Detail pages, Featured Jobs / Programs carousels, as well as when adding them to a Career Step in My Career Highways.
• A new Welcome email is when a new user signs up.
• Talent Cards have been updated for organizational account.
• Chicago Public Schools have been loaded in the system.

• Certifications are now available in your Career Map. You can also add Certifications to your Career Route and see these Certifications in your Step-by-Step guidance.
• We have introduced some auditing and security changes required for SOC compliance and to protect your data and information
• We have also released for our Micro-site partners the ability to have a theme, tags and filters for your Career Highways micro-site.

Today we released a brand new website https://careerhighways.com/ and our Career Path AI Platform is now https://app.careerhighways.com/. You can move between the two sites seamlessly.

Along with this update, you will see new branding in our Career Path AI Platform. With this release this includes an update to our landing and sign-in page for the platform.
